Portland’s Own Great Roofing Manufacture
We always think that we have to leave and go somewhere far away to get to something great, when it might just be down the road from us. OK – how about an example: Save the trip to Switzerland and go visit the Wallowa Mountain Range in Joseph, Oregon. Both are exceptionally beautiful, but one is 6,000 miles closer.
Malarkey Roofing Products, located in Portland, started manufacturing in 1956, A few years later they produced their first 3-tab roofing shingles. Then in 1976 Malarkey Roofing started research into using Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) rubber modified polymers in roofing products. Ten years later they introduce to North America the first SBS polymer modified roofing shingles, The Alaskan. Twenty years later Malarkey introduces the first SBS laminated shingle to America, the Legacy.
Who could have guessed that in our own backyard of Portland, Oregon is one of the most innovative roofing manufactures in the world? You can order roofing products from California, New York, or even Michigan and you might believe that those faraway factories produce the best roofing shingles; but you would be wrong.
Malarkey Roofing Products mission is to manufacture a performance-driven roofing product that is unparalleled in the industry. Just like the Wallowa Mountains, they may be in our own backyard, but they are just as beautiful and dependable as if they were thousands of miles away.
