Roofing and the End of Winter?

The title is asking a queston, but we all know the answer. Sure the calender says Winter is almost over and that means it going onto Spring – however, what does that mean to us Portlanders….. the rain will be a little warmer?

Seriously speaking, this is a good time in between rain showers to make sure the roof is free of growth and debris and that the gutters and waterways are clean. Portland roofers are plentiful and many specialize in getting the roof and gutters flowing freely. This is generally something that should be done without putting a lot of pressure (such as a powerwasher) on the roofing surface. Bleech and water are often recommend by manufactures as a cheap and safe way to kill moss.
So get out there with a hat on aand check out your roof and gutters. Remember, safety is first and many people get injured each year doing these simple yet ofter dangerous task. If you don’t have a good ladder, or your not real comfortable in the air, or your roof is steep, or you just don’t want to take the risk, call a local Portland Roofer who specializes in cleaning.
